Dr. Iero can use local anesthesia to numb the area needing treatment. Then, he will make a couple of small incisions so he can insert a thin tube, which will suck out the surplus fat from the area. He will then stitch the skin back in place, removing any excess skin if necessary. Once the sutures are in place, he will bandage up the area and fit you with a chin strap, which provides added support during the healing period.
