Your first visit to our practice is an important step of your treatment. During your initial consultation, Dr. Iero will perform a thorough oral examination to identify and diagnose your condition. This first appointment is the perfect chance for the doctor to get to know you so he can personalize your treatment plan to your needs, taking your comfort, safety, and satisfaction into consideration.
It’s important to arrive 15–20 minutes before your scheduled appointment so you have enough time to fill out any necessary forms. You can also complete some of our patient forms online to save time at your first visit. Additionally, please be sure to bring the following items to your appointment:
- Valid medical card
- Insurance information
- List of current medications
- Surgical referral slip
- X-rays from your dentist or physician
A parent or legal guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 to all appointments.
If you need help getting any X-rays or medical records from your dentist or physician, please be sure to tell us so we can assist you and ensure you are prepared for your consultation.
After your exam, Dr. Iero will discuss all of your treatment options with you, including your choices for sedation. He will also answer any questions you may have before you leave so that you come back full prepared and comfortable for your surgical appointment.
